The Solomon Mahlangu Freedom College Collection
is the largest collection from the ANC currently in the Library. It includes
the administration archive as well as the work of the students across age ranges
and levels. Research into the records includes the publication of a poetry book
"If you want to know me… voices from Somafco" featuring poems
from 12-year olds upwards. A number of articles by Fort Hare teachers and post-graduate
students have appeared in various historical and political journals.
